Cheryl Richardson graduated from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York with a B.A. in History with a concentration in Asian History in 1984. After graduation, she received a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, where she served for twenty-two years. While serving in the military, she attended American University’s Washington College of Law and graduated in 1997. Upon retiring from the military in 2004, Ms. Richardson joined the firm of J.D. Brown, PC, spearheading that firm’s Elder Law practice area. Ms. Richardson is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Cobb County Bar Association and the State Bar of Hawaii. Ms. Richardson served as an Associate Judge for the Marietta Municipal Court from 2014 – 2016. She serves as an Administrative Hearing Officer as part of the State’s Tax Refund Intercept Program for the City of Marietta. Ms. Richardson teaches Estate Planning for Paralegals at Kennesaw State University’s College of Continuing and Professional Education.
